Meet The Artist

Laura Bushong

I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. Creating has always been a natural way for me to observe and understand the world. Before fully dedicating myself to visual art, I spent 20 years as a dancer. An experience that deeply shaped how I see movement, rhythm, and expression. That foundation continues to influence my work and strengthens my fascination with capturing motion and energy in still images.

Over the last five years, I’ve poured my heart and energy into deepening my practice, studying art theory and learning from master artists through workshops and continued training.

I’m drawn to a variety of mediums, especially watercolor, graphite, charcoal, and pastel. I love the unique voice each medium brings and often combine them to create layered, multimedia pieces that capture movement, texture, and feeling.

Life on the road also shapes my work. My husband and I travel full time in our RV, exploring new landscapes and hiking as often as we can with our two Australian Shepherds. Being immersed in nature every day continues to inspire my perspective and fuels much of the work I create.​
